Jelly Roll Rug Class, Tues. Feb 11, 10-2 - $50.00

This fun class will teach you how to make a placemat size mat or keep adding to it to a rug size if you choose. We will be using strips from a jelly roll or 2 ½” by with of fabric (WOF), 2 ½” strips of batting, lots of thread and a fun new tool from Clover! The tool makes this project fast and fun! This project uses a lot of thread, so have at least two bobbins ready to go. In class you will learn how to use the tool to make the cord and I’ll teach you some tricks for forming the shape and keeping it flat! A sewing machine with a zig zag stitch is a must!
Supply list: finished size approximately 17” x 21”
6-8 2 ½” x WOF strips; minimum (* you can have more if you want to make a larger project)
Approximately 9 yards of 2 ½” batting strips
Thread (variegated threads look amazing!)
Clover Fabric Tube Maker tool (AVAILABLE AT THE STITCHERY)
*homework: sew strips together end to end, use a back stitch at both sides
